A multibillion-dollar package to fund immigration enforcement for the rest of President Donald Trump’s term faced new delays Thursday as Senate Republicans showed a rare split with the president over his new “anti-weaponization” fund.

Amid a political tug-of-war over North Carolina’s judiciary, state Democratic lawmakers put forth a series of proposals they say are needed to protect the branch’s independence.

The topic of menopause used to be taboo, but there has been a generational shift in recent years that has led to more legislation in statehouses around the country, providing more access to treatments and preventive care as well as more educational opportunities for healthcare providers. More than half the states have enacted menopause- and perimenopause-related laws.
